Objectives

As one of Britain's leading jewellery retailers, Ernest Jones was determined to ensure that their new ecommerce website would deliver real value for money. We worked closely with the client's service provider and design team to ensure that the new site not only looked fantastic, but was search engine friendly too. Intent on making Ernest Jones the recognised authority on diamonds and watches in the UK search space, our team devised a strategy that was as innovative as it was diverse. Bigmouthmedia:

  • Worked with the CMS provider and design team to ensure that the new site was user friendly, attractive and search engine friendly
  • Developed quality, ethical, keyword-rich pages beneficial for SEO
  • Undertake strategic link building work to place Ernest Jones as the authority on diamonds and watch searches in the UK search space.
  • Used search innovations such as optimised product feeds to gain placements in shopping engines such as Google Product Search.

Results

Eclipsing all targets for brand and generic keywords, the campaign not only earned the site a Hitwise Online Performance Award as one of the UK's most popular destinations, but also drove a four-fold increase in sales.
